|St. Paul, Minnesota – – Today the Foundation for Minnesota’s Future Interim Chair, Kelly Fenton, released the following statement regarding President Biden’s appearance with Governor Tim Walz at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.|
“Today, Governor Tim Walz wasted no time traveling to Duluth and the University of Wisconsin-Superior to cheer on the President and his trillion-dollar infrastructure bill today. Minnesotans should be very aware. It’s clear Governor Walz and the President use the same political playbook. The Governor continues to ask Minnesota taxpayers for billions in new spending at the state level while celebrating with his Washington friends who recently passed a massive social-policy spending package full of inconsiderate and wasteful uses of taxpayer dollars. This is all a smokescreen to divert the attention away from the real issues our state is facing and does nothing to benefit Minnesotans struggling to make ends meet. Minnesotans are facing historic inflation rates including higher costs of groceries, gas, and energy. Minnesotans need relief, not D.C. political games.”
In addition to Interim Chair of the Foundation for Minnesota’s Future, Kelly Fenton is a former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, where she served two terms in office. Additionally, Fenton is a former educator and school administrator for the fourth-largest public school district in the country.
