Hypocrisy of Members of DFL Party Mourning Shooting While Silent on Crime Rates
This weekend horror struck St. Paul just a block south of Xcel Energy Center as 14 people were injured by seemingly senseless violence from three gunman. One woman sadly lost her life.
Unverified reports have stated all three gunman had previous records.
This violence comes just days after Minneapolis sent a letter to Governor Walz begging him to send resources to assist police in Minneapolis and the Governor refused to take executive action.
What used to be a safe and friendly area now feels like a warzone. When will politicians be held accountable for the public safety crisis they have created?
Members of the DFL Party have posted numerous social media posts and will predictably mourn the death of Marquisha Wiley while talking a good game about being tough on crime, but these same politicians sit on their hands when action needs to be taken. Earlier this year a five-year-old boy lost his life on the North Side of Minneapolis and DFL politicians were silent.
The death of Marquisha Wiley marks the 32nd homicide in the City of St. Paul this year. The all-time record set in 1992 is 34.
We are facing a public safety crisis like something our state has never seen. It’s time to hold soft-on-crime politicians accountable and start being proactive in the war on crime.
